A Passion For Sports and Music

Playing a sport provides a person with passion and a certain happiness. click here However, playing an instrument or being involved with music can also provide you with just as much joy and gaiety. Both activities bestow an individual with an interest and/or hobby. A hobby can be a very important thing for a human being because hobbies give a specific happiness and passion, that almost nothing else can give them. Playing a sport or instrument (unprofessionally) is a hobby many people pursue, mainly because that's what gives them merriment, but you do not have to be physically involved with these activities for it to bring you joy. A multitude of people watch sport games and listen to music and they still get the same amount of joy, as the musicians and sport players. Activities like these are like magnets because they constantly pull people together.

For Liesel both sports and music were very prominent in her childhood. Soccer very much produced Liesel to become friends with Rudy and other children, but also music allowed her time to bond with Hans. The text mentions, "Whenever they had a break, to eat or drink, he would play the accordion, and it was this that Liesel remembered best" (MZ 355). Hans Hubberman had a passion for music, playing his accordion made him happy! That happiness also showed on Liesel because even though she never learned to play an instrument she was happier than a child on Christmas day, whenever he would play for her. This further proves my point that passions bring people together, rather than separate them. click here
