  In the piece, “The World As I See It,” I believe the premise is life is a complex element, in which humans search for meaning within the comfort of others and knowledge. As said by Einstein, “Each of us are here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, sometimes he thinks he can feel it.” A surplus amount of people believe they are put on this earth for a purpose. Therefore, why numerous of individuals go to religion, to be able to discover this purpose. Albert latter mentions, “I am strongly drawn to the simple life and am often oppressed by the feeling that I am engrossing an unnecessary amount of the labour of my fellow-men.“ Many individuals find the simple life attractive, mainly because life on its own is already an emotional roller coaster. Consequently, why plain living is healthier for people physically and mentally. After analyzing the text I think this piece is a posteriori because Albert Einstein has derived this information out of his own knowledge and ...

In the excerpt, “On The Genealogy of Morals” I believe the premise  of the piece to be ‘those with intelligence are often irresolute.’ A quote from the text that’s supports this idea says, “We don’t know ourselves, we knowledgeable people— we are personally ignorant about ourselves. And there’s good reason for that. We’ve never tried to find out who we are.” I believe the author, Fredrich, is sharing his  testimony  that those with intelligence are often afraid to express their true self. Fredrich later mentions, “Where we ourselves are concerned, we are not knowledgeable people.“ Intuitive thinkers tend to be insecure and fear they are not as intelligent as they portray themselves. So, they find it best to pretend to be someone they’re not, to appeal to societies standards of brilliance. Due to this conclusion I believe this passage to be inductive reasoning because the writer has derived the knowledge of intelligent people tending to be insecure from facts and instance...

 The premise  of the piece called, "Self-Reliance"  is to not be afraid to share one's opinions or beliefs because someone else thinks differently. The text states, " To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, — that is genius," Emerson is saying one must express their opinions /self. To have the ability to counter the beliefs of the majority is genius within itself. Another statement from the text I would like to bring up is, "It may be safely trusted as proportionate and of good issues, so it be faithfully imparted, but God will not have his work made manifest by cowards." The author is referring to all the people who ignore their thoughts and stay in their comfort zone. People dismiss their own thoughts and ideas out of fear of being judged and wrong.  The premise  of the piece "Rumi"  is to love and praise god with all that one has. The supporting line from the poem states, "A head has one use: For loving a true love. Feet: To chase after," the true love is a metaphor for god, in which the head/mind is constantly thinking of their creator. The feet is used to chase after the god or the faith for their god. I also believe the author is trying to persuade the reader to believe in their god. The text mentions, "But when he finds his love, whatever was lost in the looking comes back completely changed," I imagine the author is saying that when a nonbeliever finds their faith their opinions and life are now changed.  click here   After reading this poem I think it is a empiricism , due to the fact that Rumi's love for his god comes from experience and not logic. When I finished the poem "Rumi,"  I noticed a few similarities between Rumi's love of god and many individual's love of sport...

 

  Even after abolishing slavery and making separation of skin color illegal, countless people of color (POC) still experience racial injustice. Numerous POC feel alone in their situations and that nobody will listen. However, they are wrong because not only do other POC understand, but there are also innumerable allies ready to fight against racism. Allies aren’t just fighting for justice , but they are also attempting to help racists see that the world is not just black and white.  The text says, “ For us to truly engage in the fight against racial injustice, we must ensure that we listen to the voices of people of color and help amplify them to the broader community,” (W BALL). To be an ally who truly creates an impact, listening to POC and spreading awareness is essential.  However, “normal” people are not the only ones fighting for a change.
